Hints on how to use DefensePrep AI:
- - IMPORTANT: We never access your chats. However, by submitting your novel academic contribution to DefensePrep AI, OpenAI might use its content and your chats to train future language models. You can switch off training in ChatGPT settings (under Data Controls) or you can submit this form.
- - When clicking on "Upload thesis", DefensePrep AI might reply that it cannot process documents. Proceed anyway and upload the file (or copy paste the content/abstract of your dissertation).
- - First upload the dissertation and send it for processing. After DefensePrep AI is done with reading the content, provide the list of professors with their affiliations (e.g. their university). We have noticed that providing dissertation and list of professors at once can crash the response generation.
- - If the number of members in your committee is above 3, split the list and run multiple iterations. Search performed on more than 3 professors at once can crash the response generation again.
- - If DefensePrep AI is not able to find info about one or more professors, prompt it to perform the search again. Otherwise start from scratch (custom GPTs are sometimes unpredictable).
- - Once the questions are generated you can ask to generate more or to provide answers to the previous ones. Be aware that these answers might include fake information. So, we advise you to dig into them. Research and develop your own answer - that's also good practice for your defense, wink wink.
Stay tuned for DefensePrep AI v2!
